In Milan, the Galleria is considered 'the living room of the Milanese'. (4 hours, driver and guide)

Verona will host the closing ceremony of Milan Winter Games.

In the morning, you are transported by private vehicle to your hotel in Verona. While en route, visit the sparkling area of Franciacorta, Italy's "champagne" district.

This region has a long tradition of making still wines that dates to at least Virgil and Pliny the Elder, and is documented in the Brescia City Council books as "Franzacurta" as far back as 1277. It was Guido Berlucchi who introduced the "Franciacorta" brand in 1957 with a delicate white wine named Pinot di Franciacorta. In 1961, the vintage yielded 4,600 bottles of sparkling wine, also sold as Pinot di Franciacorta, thanks to an ambitious young winemaker working for Berlucchi named Franco Ziliani. You will be guided through the cellars of one of the wineries in the region, followed by a tasting of the wines.Following your tasting, enjoy lunch at your leisure before driving to your hotel in Verona.

Accommodation: Due Torri Hotel (2 nights)

Day 7: Verona Private Walking Tour

Experience Michelangelo's most iconic monuments as your guide take you around the city. Visit Galleria dell' Accademia and see the world's most celebrated statue, David. This famed statue was carved by Michelangelo as a young boy from a single block of local Carrara marble. It is a colossal 17-foot nude inspired by the biblical hero who was renowned for killing Goliath. The next stop is the Church of San Lorenzo and the Medici cchapels. Hereyou will find the colorful Chapel of Princes and the New Sacristy with Michelangelo's statues Dawn and Dusk and Night and Day. Accommodation: Splendid Venice (3 nights)

Day 14: Venice

Discover the most celebrated landmarks in the Floating City today with a private guide. Indulge in the splendor and opulence of what was once the center of political power in Venice; the Doge's Palace features lavish frescoes, majestic staircases, and intricately-gilded stuccowork, which reveal the splendor of this era. Continue to the stunning Byzantine-style St. Mark's Basilica, which dates back to the 9th century AD. Some of St Mark's treasures, such as the beautiful bronze horses, came from the Crusades and Constantinople. Incredibly, the basilica's mosaics would cover 1.5 football fields! When you step back into St Mark's square, you can enjoy the lively atmosphere and admire the 98.6-meter (323-foot) Campanile and the handsome Clock Tower designed by Paolo Uccello. (4-hour walking tour)

There is a long-established Venetian tradition of taking breaks throughout the day (especially at the end of the day) and before the evening meal (around 6 p.m.). After dinner, Venetians head to a local wine bar, called a baraco, where they enjoy an ombra (small glass of wine) and tasty ciccheti. On this evening's tour, your guide accompanies you to some of these local haunts, where you can taste local wine or spritz accompanied by mouth-watering crostini (tiny bite-size slices of toasted bread served with a variety of toppings). Venetian style baccalà (salt cod pâté), spicy meatballs, fried vegetables, and marinated seafood are just a few of the highlights. It is a Venetian ritual for catching up with friends, and after the cicchetti auction has ended, the orchestras on the main square play until late. (Up to 4 hours of guided walk)

 Accommodation: Splendid Venice

Day 15: Venice

In the center of a vast lagoon that stretches for about thirty miles from north to south, Venice is flanked by a number of small islands, most of them deserted. The Venetians built their own city here because of this amazing natural environment, a safe, inaccessible, and entirely secure environment. With your local guide, ride across the waters of the lagoon aboard your private motor launch. You will stop first at Burano, a quaint and colourful fishing island famous for its lace and charming architecture. Explore the island of Murano, where glass has been blown for nearly 700 years and where you can still observe the age-old techniques of glassblowing. (4 hours, motorboat, guide)

 Accommodation: Splendid Venice

Day 16: Venice Departure. Until Next Time…
