Curling in the Winter Games

Curling, also known as curling and ice skating, is a Winter Olympics event. In the curling competition, all kinds of "friction" and the players' "devil's pace" are really attractive. Ice skating originated in Scotland. A game similar to boccia on ice was popular in Scotland in the 14th century. Ice skating competitions began to appear in the 16th century. In 1993, the International Olympic Committee decided that starting from 1998, curling was listed as an official event of the Winter Olympics.

Welcome to Cortina d'Ampezzo!

Cortina d'Ampezzo will host Alpine Skiing, Curling, Bobsleigh, Luge, and Skeleton. Cortina d'Ampezzo is located at an elevation of 1210 meters in the province of Belluno. In the Italian Alps, this mountain destination is renowned for the beauty of its landscapes, its heritage, and its many sporting activities. Today, it is considered to be Italy's most fashionable ski resort due to its decadent charm. Quite impressive for slopes that are simply spectacular. Especially those on the Tofana side. This has a tourist cable car that takes you up to its summit at 3200m, wherein clear weather you can even see the sea. Olympia and Canalone are the best ski resorts. Another ski area, Cristallo, which can be reached via a cable car from the very center of town, offers a milder slope. Cortina d'Ampezzo hosts World Cup races. In 1956, it was also the site of the Winter Olympics.
