Cancel for Any Reason
Travel with confidence with Travel Guard Preferred Plan. Personalize your plan by adding bundles from the Enhancement Suite. From adventure sports to medical coverage, customizing your plan to suit your travel needs has never been easier.
The Preferred plan holds 26 unique covered risks for trip cancellation. Please keep in mind that "Fear of becoming ill" is not a listed covered risk in our policy. Suppose you are concerned that the pandemic will still exist in 2022. In that case, you will want to look into the "Cancel for Any Reason" optional coverage. This optional coverage would offer a 50% reimbursement of the trip cost.
You must purchase a policy within 15 days of the initial trip payment to be eligible for the Cancel for Any Reason optional coverage. The Cancel for Any Reason coverage must be purchased with the initial payment of the insurance policy. Once the policy is in place, you would be able to cancel for whatever reason you choose up to 48 hours prior to the departure date. Please speak with an agent so you can review the available coverage. AIG licensed agents will be able to review the policy wording with you and review the coverages that AIG can and cannot offer.
Travel Guard also offers a higher or lower level of coverage with a few other plans such as Deluxe, Essential, Travel Guard Plus, and Flight Guard. You can request the information when you call AIG at 1.800.826.5248.
